Aromatherapy is generally safe although deluding is required when using essential oils topically as it can cause burns in skin irritation. Of course you could do aromatherapy at home but the best strategy for an ultimate healing experience is to obtain the service from a professional who is been trained in aromatherapy.

When purchasing an essential oil it should be used within the first few months since the solution will likely start to oxidize within six months or so. When the oxidation occurs, the oil starts to lose its aroma and healing effect. There are some oils that contradict us in fact however like sandalwood and patchouli that actually mature with age so please make sure to do your research on this shelf life of each essential oil that you are getting.
